A new feature! If you click on a marker that has one or more markers hiding behind it (or overlapping heavily), the others will now fan out below the one that was clicked on. Clicking one of those will replace the positioning of the other, and you can cycle through them by clicking one after another until you’ve seen them all.
There may very well be some bugs that I haven’t found, so if you find any, please let me know at padmapper@gmail.com.
Happy hunting!
Eric
Woah, what a great feature! How did you do that? Is that in GMaps V3? Or is it something else?
Thanks! Nah, not the API, just some custom animation javascript code. PadMapper’s actually still on V2. I think V3 might have some basic animation stuff, but mostly for marker dragging, I believe.
I think you’ve made something really really really awesome here! This is the best thing to happen to the web / apartment hunting since signal fires.
First of all I’d like to say how great an application this is! But it would be even better to see listings for shares (rent per room is already quite useful) and all of your cool functionalities for Canadian cities.
Have you thought about adding a “review” function so that folks can add comments about a place or complex and prospective renters can figure out whether the landlord is responsive, or about the condition of the unit, or about neighbors?
Wow! This app is awesome – very helpful – especially with all these features that you keep adding – thanks a ton!
Thanks for your work. You have made an awesome and super useful product. You made my apartment search much less painful and much more succeful than it probably would have been. I have a question for you. I noticed that the median of nearby aprtments seems not to be showing on new posts. Are you no longer doing this because it was really cool.
Thanks!
Hey David – sorry for the late reply, but that’s something that’s in the works.
To everyone else, thanks for the kind words!
