Sorry for not blogging in a while – I’ve been releasing updates this whole time, though.
Tonight I released quite a few updates to the user interface. The main goals were to unclutter some of the parts that had become cluttered (filters and listing bubbles, I’m looking at you), as well as to generally beautify things a bit, and make the interface easier to learn. PadMapper should feel a little softer now. A little more refined, maybe.
I’m not done, though, and I’ve got some pretty exciting stuff coming from the backend.
Do you like the changes? Despise them? Wish I’d go further on some things? Please let me know! padmapper@gmail.com
Eric, this is a godsend! I’m trying to decide on a “pieds-a-terre” for a contract job in Milwaukee (my home is in St. Louis), and I’m bragging on your app to everyone! Is there a plan for a future release where you could schedule a “route” of places to visit? Somehow link into the google maps routing routines?
Thanks so much! Where do I contribute via PayPal?

Great site!! A listing of rent to own houses would really be fantastic! Also, It seems as though there used to be a price per person breakdown included in the pad descriptions, is this a function that must be toggled off and on? Thank you!
solid work man, everything looks much tighter and cleaner.
Best apartment finding site I’ve come across, mucho props!!! Love it.
Hi, I really like the new interface. The thing I find is really missing with it is being able to update notes while reading the listing. I find it a little tedious to go back to the map to add a note. Is there a way to get them in the sidebar? Other than that, great updates! Can’t wait to see the next round.
Thanks Phillip! That’s an idea I’ve toyed around with… I think it’d be pretty cool. I think there are some more basic things I need to do first, but I’ll keep that one in mind 🙂
Thanks Greg. Yep, I’ve been planning on doing that for a while, hopefully I’ll get the chance in the next few days.
Great Site – congratulations on it.
Since the recent changes to the interface, I can’t populate the maps with listings on my TenFourFox (Firefox for MAC PPC G4’s) browser. The site still works on Safari, so I’ve been using that. Just thought I’d let you know.
Scratch that. Both browsers work, its only the room/share map listings that aren’t being populated.
Padmapper is amazing. I can’t believe I never used it before…
Where can I give you money!?!?! You need a donate button!
Thanks for making this website!!!! I always dreaded apartment hunting, but this makes it sooooo much easier! Kudos! =D
