Hey Guys.
Anybody looking for an apartment want to test the iPhone version of PadMapper and provide feedback on usefulness/bugs/etc? I’m basically looking for a couple of people who would like to test it in a real apartment hunting situation. It will only work in the cities where PadMapper is supported, since it’s grabbing data from the same place.
It’s very simple – in the place of the map, there’s a list of places, sorted by their distance from your current location. The idea is that this will be mainly used while you’re actually out walking or driving around and want to look at places near you right away, hopefully after you’ve found a neighborhood you like. It gives you a quick summary of each apartment, the ability to look at the craigslist ad without leaving the app, a big button to call the person responsible for showing the place, and if you’re not in a hurry, a button to email them, and finally, a button that gives you directions from your location to the place. It should make setting up apartments while humping it through the city quite a bit easier.
There are also filters, in case you’re blessed enough to be looking in an area with an annoyingly large number of available places.
Sounds awesome, eh? Email me (padmapper@gmail.com) with some info about where you’re looking for a place, when you’re looking (hopefully very soon), and what kind of iPhone you have, and I’ll probably pick the first few people.
Thanks all!
