- New features enhance user experience and continue to grow audience
- PadMapper and Zumper now have shared accounts so a user can interact with both platforms using the same login credential
San Francisco, CA – October 5, 2016
PadMapper, a leading platform in the online rental search space, announced today that it is relaunching its website to enhance user experience by providing a refreshed design and new features.
An augmented map experience with an updated sidebar now has a list of available rental listings that correspond to pins on the map. This list can be sorted by relevance, price, or date of posting and a user can toggle between three different list view options.
Other new features include state pages that show the number of listings in each city, an animated favoriting option to bookmark listings, and an auto-complete of locations during searches.
PadMapper, a Zumper subsidiary, has also enabled the sharing of user accounts with Zumper. As of launch, if a PadMapper user wants to apply for a listing that originated from a Zumper landlord that has Zumper’s Instant Apply product enabled, the PadMapper renter can now easily run a credit check and apply through Zumper without the need to create a separate account. Favorited properties and a history of messages sent will also follow users across both mobile apps.
PadMapper CEO, Eric DeMenthon, said, “At the time of this relaunch, a lot of PadMapper’s code was 7 years old, dating from the time of some of the first AJAX-driven websites, when real estate sites were static pages of lists. With this, we start fresh with a completely new codebase, bringing the site to parity with our relaunched mobile apps, and bringing in some of the advances in web development that have been made in the last few years. I’m really impressed with what the team has pulled off, and I’m very excited about what this will enable us to do going forward.”
Zumper CEO, Anthemos Georgiades, said “We are very excited to relaunch PadMapper’s web platform today. PadMapper’s loyal base of millions of monthly users should be very excited by this enhanced search experience. And we have several long-awaited features coming down the line like ‘Post a Pad’ which will soon be launching on PadMapper’s iOS and Android consumer apps.”
